At Grant A Dream, we believe rest is not a luxury for caregiver parents—it’s a lifeline. Parents raising a child with special healthcare needs give everything of themselves, often without a break. Over time, this can leave them exhausted, isolated, and running on empty. That’s why we provide transformative respite getaways designed to restore body, mind, and spirit. This nomination form is your chance to recognize a caregiver parent and give them the gift of rest, renewal, and community.

Why Nominate?

Caregiver parents often find it hard to give themselves permission for rest or self-care. But the truth is—taking care of themselves helps them take even better care of their children.

When you nominate a caregiver parent, you’re offering more than just a break. You’re giving them a chance to:

Step away from daily demands and recharge
Experience encouragement, friendship, and understanding
Return home with renewed hope, courage, and strength

Your nomination is a powerful way to honor their love and sacrifices—and to help them keep giving their best to their family.

Who Can Be Nominated? (Eligibility):

Caregiver parents who:

Are raising a child with a special health care need
Provide ongoing, daily care for their child
Are available during the scheduled getaway dates
Are able to arrange care for their child(ren) while they are away

Location is not a barrier. While we are currently based in Colorado and Texas, caregiver parents from any state may be nominated as long as they can travel to the getaway destination.

Additional Notes

Caregiver parents may be nominated by friends, family, medical professionals, teachers, or anyone who has seen their dedication firsthand.
Parents are also welcome to nominate themselves—because every caregiver deserves rest.
Selected parents will be contacted directly with more details once the Dreams are scheduled.

What Happens Next?

Please Note:

This getaway is a gift of self-care and community for caregivers. It's a caregiver-only experience, created so you can fully rest, recharge, and connect with peers without the demands of family life.
Single parents are encouraged to bring a friend or guest if it will make their getaway more enjoyable. Guests will share in the same benefits as the caregiver parent.
